Facebook Advertising Works [ New Blogpost ]

Most marketers waste a lot of money on online advertising and with Facebook it is no different. So how do we change this?

First we need to understand why most advertising or marketing fails.

Here are some of the main reasons:

Lack of Vision or Purpose:

Most marketers are marketing or advertising to make money and not to further a Vision or Purpose, if you fall into this category then you need to re-evaluate your online strategy.

Lack of planning:

Sometimes just "taking action" is good but running in like a head-less chicken without a proper plan is a sure way to lose a lot of money. Lack of planning is a symptom of a lack of Vision or purpose as mentioned above.

Incorrect Target Market:

Have you identified your target market? Are these the people who will actually purchase what you are advertising? These sound like simple basic questions but these are the exact questions that people fail to ask before starting to run a campaign.

Lack of Measurement

It is surprising how many marketers have absolutely NO idea what the key metrics in their online business are. Do you measure everything? If not how do you know what works and what does not work and more importantly, How are you going to change this?

The factors mentioned above are not the only ones but they are four of the main reasons why people fail at Facebook advertising and other methods of marketing.
